I am told by my dealer that if the light stays on for a min.
of 45 seconds that it will enter a code in the computer which they can retrieve. They have always hooked me up to read the code when I have had a check engine light,this code will tell them the cause. I believe they can go out(light) and still retain the code. I would try and get it
scanned to find out the problem.
